Pharmacy Alumni Association intends to ensure that our students have a bright and successful career. PAA will also serve as a networking and knowledge sharing platform for our pharmacy alumni. PAA was registered in 2021 under Trust act 1882. Its registration number is 1V/18/2021. The main principle and the tagline of our PAA have been framed with three features to Reconnect Reunite and Rejoice. As we all know all of us will love to rejoice about our college days. This Association will serve as a platform to recollect the unforgettable fragrance of golden memories of rejoices in the good old days of our college days and the times we spent together.
Reconnecting and Reuniting with our fellow alumnus will be a good networking opportunity. This will also help to bring together like-minded individuals. This will also help us to stay connected with the college, staffs, students and alumnus of our college. which has given us an identity and helped us to shape our careers and lives. The Pharmacy Alumni Association aspires to be a primary linkage between the college and its family of alumni across the globe, to inspire & commit them to the college’s mission of lifelong learning, innovations, engagement, and service to the humanity.
We intend to achieve our Mission through our strategies to develop and strengthen ties between our alumni and the Department of Pharmacy by providing diverse tangible benefits including career services, networking opportunities, special events and lectures, and the opportunity to connect with and inspire students and graduates. And, to engage alumni with Departmental research and future goals, in order that each individual feels welcome and valued as a member of the PAA.
1. To Reunite the Alumni and relive the memories of our college days. 2. To Create a Industry-Academic partnership which will be mutually helpful for both parties involved. 3. To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their courses of study at Madurai Medical College to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to their career and the community. This will be done by conducting workshops about various job opportunities for pharmacy students across the globe and how they can prepare themselves for the career ahead. 4. To organize workshops and interactive sessions about studying PG courses in India and overseas and also for those who want to be a entrepreneur and also to conduct workshops related to soft skills, preparing a CV, personality development, etc. 5. PAA also plans to organise Campus Interviews with Pharmaceutical Companies. 6. To provide scholarships for the needy students. 7. To create a platform between our alumnus who have been successful in various domains and the students of pharmacy which will help the students to explore opportunities for pharmacists globally. 8. To create and maintain a roster of the alumni and to encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves. 9. To promote a sustained sense of belonging to the alma mater among the Alumni by being in regular contact with them and provide necessary support as required.
